Siemper Fidelis: Where there is faith, fear cannot exist - Show #47
Siemper Fidelis: Where there is faith, fear cannot exist - Show #47 [68:00m]: Play Now | Play in Popup | DownloadYep, that’s me singing happy birthday to myself, hehe. Dad took this picture of me on my birthday, which they just celebrate on August 3rd since I’m adopted and they don’t know my REAL birthday. Anyway, I chose this photo to go with this week’s Animal Talk Naturally! bepaws I’m singing for the truths Dogtor J shared with us this month! This was rrreally eye-opening for Mom & Jeannie, especially since in Mom’s and Dr. Elliot’s book, Whole Health for Happy Dogs, they say we should be spayed and/or neutered. I’m neutered sigh. Oh we are not talking about being irresponsible but rather about HEALTH and TRUTH. What is truth? Well, you should know it IS absolute -whether you believe that or not doesn’t negate it, WOOF! This is such a revelatory show that we know you may be provoked and may be irritated and may be doggone ticked off, but well it’s impawtant information to share. Here’s this week’s synopsis along with a couple of statements made by the Animal Rights Movement you should know before listening to this show:
We announced our new feed and All Pets Radio. We also talked about Shire the therapy dog who just happens to be a Rottie that is being denigrated simply because she is a Rottie, in the ROTTEN town of Florenceville. Go sign the petition, email Shire, and please help with legal fees at Rotty Shire and read about the town at Florenceville Sucks.
Statements by the animal rights movement, ie PeTA and HSUS among others:
“The cat, like the dog, must disappear… We should cut the domestic cat free from our dominance by neutering, neutering, and more neutering, until our pathetic version of the cat ceases to exist.” John Bryant, Fettered Kingdoms: An Examination of A Changing Ethic (Washington, DC: People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PeTA), 1982, p. 15.”It is time we demand an end to the misguided and abusive concept of animal ownership. The first step on this long, but just, road would be ending the concept of pet ownership.”Elliot Katz, President “In Defense of Animals,” Spring 1997
“We are not especially ‘interested in’ animals. Neither of us had ever been inordinately fond of dogs, cats, or horses in the way that many people are. We didn’t ‘love’ animals.” Peter Singer, Animal Liberation: A New Ethic for Our Treatment of Animals, 2nd ed. (New York Review of Books, 1990), Preface, p. ii.
“We have no ethical obligation to preserve the different breeds of livestock produced through selective breeding. . . One generation and out. We have no problem with the extinction of domestic animals. They are creations of human selective breeding.” Wayne Pacelle, Senior VP of Humane Society of the US, formerly of Friends of Animals and Fund for Animals, Animal People, May, 1993
NOTE: (Wayne Pacelle’s initial training was as a PeTA activist. Today he heads HSUS under the guise of “legitimacy” acting as the largest and most profitable of the animal Rightist lobbying organizations.
