Kim Bloomer & Shadrach the Neo Mastiff
by Kim Bloomer

The year is nearly gone and it seems as though it has flown past! I can look back and can see all that has transpired in one short year and be absolutely amazed because as it was happening, it didn’t seem like so much was going on. Next month we’ll recap the year on our podcast and also in the commentary but this month, let me just share some of the cool things that have happened with Animal Talk Naturally in October and November.

The Refiner’s Fire was fiercely hot and at work in our lives during October. We lost ALL our guests save one, our faithful friend and brother in Christ, Dogtor J, in Genetics Schmenetics. Don’t blink as you listen or you’ll miss something because Dogtor J talks ten miles per minute with loads of valuable information for your natural pet health knowledge and application.

We trod upon November rather hesitantly not knowing what the journey would hold for us as a team and as a show. Jeannie and I really struggled to release the entire outcome to God, and to work more efficiently and effectively together as a team. November was truly an awesome month with guests AND with outcomes as a result of our surrender!

Our very first show on November 1st featured the founder of Dogs Deserve Better, Tammy Grimes. Much controversy has surrounded this organization since September with much heat coming our way as a result of having her on our show. We made it through but it was our most difficult show to date, What Does Love Have to Do With It. As a result we discovered we’d rather be focusing almost entirely upon natural animal health since that is our true calling rather than politics.

We made the transition readily with our very next guest, veterinarian Dr. Tom Lonsdale, author of Raw Meaty Bones, in No Grain No Pain. This was such an enjoyable and educational show that really flowed we’ve invited him back in the new year! Next we had another fast and furious hour with our awesome friend Dogtor J sharing about The Gauntlets. Then on to a show Jeannie and I did solo about the Animal Talk Naturally journey in Our Journey; The Adventure. We did a show in October (we did THREE alone because of all our guests canceling or re-scheduling) we entitled Faith, Hope & Love: Animal Talk Naturally Unveiled. In this show we shared a rather emotional, truth and soul-bearing expose behind our show and WHY we do it. It just made sense for us to follow with a HOW show as our gift to our audience for Thanksgiving.

Last on our calendar for the month is African Grey expert, Maggie Wright. Maggie is very well-versed in all things Grey related. We’re excited to have her back sharing with our listeners and to hear her birds participate also in Ain’t Misbehavin’. Jeannie’s Grey, Nick, “participates” in ALL our phone conversations so he’ll be joining in as well! He has learned what makes me laugh and every single time she and I talk on the phone, he makes the sounds he knows I like. If you think that can’t be possible, I invite you to listen to Maggie Wright talk about these birds and you too will come away convinced of their mystical and magical ways.

As if having such an incredible line up of guests wasn’t enough, we now have a new sponsor for our show! NY City Pet Guide which is a brand new guide for all things pet-related in the New York City Metro area.

We’ve been so blessed to meet so many wonderful people this last year, make new friends, and also lose one or two previous ones making some of the blessings bittersweet but nonetheless grateful of all we have received and learned. We’re working with the National Dog Day Foundation (Colleen Paige), and we’ve also taken a leap into uncharted territory (for us) with All Pets Radio in their new offline show that is also streamed online weekly. In the coming year Animal Talk Naturally will be published in several books including one for radio show hosts, a natural dog health book, and also in The American Dogs of Distinction where my special Neo Mastiff, Shadrach (who has his own real TAIL of coming Through the Fire), is listed as one of the American Dogs of Distinction.

We have so much to be thankful for in this month of Thanksgiving, that we pray God, who orchestrates all things, will receive the thanks he deserves every single day of the year! We thank you the readers and our listeners because without you, what would be the point?

Until next month, have a pawsitively tail waggin’, blessed, joyous, THANKful, Christmas and holiday season!
