Here’s a story I think you’ll enjoy…..remember how I told you we purchased one gerbil last year for Billy and that she ended up being pregnant and had 9 babies who then in turn had more babies and I couldn’t get rid of the gerbils to save my life?! Well, I found out why we were blessed with so many gerbils. A barred owl was hit by a car which was driven by one of my best friend’s ex-boyfriend. He called my friend (this was on Christmas Eve) to get my number to bring the injured but very much alive owl to me. We had just seen my friend in Kmart and were checking out when she caught up with us again to tell me about the owl.
